My journey started in the corporate world (yes, I still sit there in my neat outfits), but my heart has always belonged to weddings. Like many of us, I was asked at a young age to be a bridesmaid, and I quickly realised how incredibly fun it is to organise people, handle the drama, and enjoy a little bit of glamour along the way.

Because I’m comfortable speaking in front of people (I’ve been told since I was young that I should be a radio presenter… I’m choosing to take that as a compliment 😏), I landed my first MC gig. Since then, I haven’t just helped organise countless weddings, I’ve even officiated one! Yes, I personally led the bride and groom through their “I do’s.”

At almost every wedding I’m involved in, I hear the same question from brides: “Where do I even start?” I realised that you might have a vision of what you want, but not necessarily know how to organise it, when everything needs to happen, or how to pull it all off without a mini heart attack. And that’s exactly how TrouGoedjies was born.

I’m basically the South African version of 27 Dresses, with a closet full of gowns to prove it. My big dream is to own my own wedding venue one day. But until that dream venue becomes a reality, I live out my passion by helping brides plan, from save-the-dates and invitations to bridesmaids, MCs, and all the little details that make your big day perfect (yes, even the slightly chaotic moments have their place here).
